SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2020 - INTERNAL HACKATHON was Organized By M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering, Karur on 22.01.2020. 68 Team Members of Various Engineering Department Students were Participated in the Internal Hackathon Event. They Presented their Problem Statement, Ideas and Solution. Jury Members are Scrutinized then Finally, Selected the 7 Best Software Edition Teams and 4 Hardware Edition Teams for SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2020.
M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering and Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation jointly organizes a district level skill competition in the theme of Electrical installations and Electronics on 20.01.2020 and 22.01.2020. In this competition students from various colleges in and around the karur region were participated and exhibited their talents. The shortlisted students from both categories will be participating in state level skill competition 2020.
MoU between M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering and Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute, Namakkal 26.06.2019
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 26.6.2019 between M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering and Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute, Namakkal for the implementation of Computerised Driving Skill Testing Track System for HTV 8 Shaped track in their campus. Principal Dr.N.Ramesh Babu, Advisor Dr.N.Durairajan, Mr.J.Suresh Babu – Head, Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute, Namakkal, Dr.C.Ramesh - Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr.R.Punithavathi - Head, Department of Information Technology, Dr.C.Vivek- Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mr.A.Shanmuga Velayutham - Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology, Mr.S.Mohanraj - Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering were present during the occasion.
The Computerised Driving Skill Testing Track system will help to conduct a foolproof training as all the reports are system generated and video recorded so that each candidate who undergoes HTV training in 8 shaped test track shall be given a report with the indication of faults done, if any along with recorded video
In addition to the implementation, the students of Mechanical Engineering M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering will be attending One day Training program on Commercial Vehicles and students from all departments shall undergo In plant Training for a duration of 5 days in Ashok Leyland Driver Training Institute, Namakkal.
This MoU will benefit both the institutes for the betterment of the activities conducted in their institutes.
